This music festival has single-handedly rewriten the music industry for Thailand and has paved its way into the international music scene. A very successful and solid first step has undoubtedly been made. Over 10,000 music lovers, both local and international, have given their approval stamp for the event. Despite being the first of its kind in Thailand, they achieve in meeting the international standards of excellence; the readiness for the event, the preparation, the perfectly-timed performance schedule and the ‘perfect crowd magnet’ like the world’s rock all-time-favorite band “Incubus”, together with over 100 souls of world-class and leading Thai musical groups in the midst of Silverlake vineyard surrounded by picturesque scenery, are the lethal combination of this musical success.

“Chang Presents Silverlake Music Festival 2012” highlighted on the its duty to deliver the best musical experience which consequently drew out both Thai and international music lovers and blurred the racial and age lines with their love for music. Even with Rock music as the main genre, the festival proceeded without a hitch. The performance was mainly divided into two stages; Earth Stage and Solar Stage. The Solar Stage welcomed its first performance by Stamp at 13.45pm with a drizzle while Scrubb showed off their skill on the Earth Stage at 14.00pm.

The fun continued on both stages with 25 Hours and Slot Machine that followed with Mild and Singular that set the relaxing tone for the audience. Old timer Reggae Ska band, T-Bone, helped set the rhythm for Akira Jimbo, drummer genius from Japan, who later wowed the crowd with his collaboration with Jack Thammarai (Guitar) and Pop Infinity (Bass).

By night fall, Rockers came out to play. BrandNew Sunset was introduced on Solar Stage and followed with old school Thai rockers, Silly Fools. Brit heartthrob rockers followed suit with Franko and Young Guns. While on Earth Stage, Anti-Flag gave their fans more than a bang for their buck with their heart stopping live performance and an awesome drumming ending performance in the crowd. Modern Dog had also held his own stage well as usual, performing hit after hit from his albums and made their first live performance of the song “Ter Taw Naan” from their album “Ting Nong Noy”.

Another highlight of the festival, Owl City, also lived up to the expectation. This electronic pop band from America continued to charm the audience with their uniqueness. Seether, a rock band from South Africa, ripped the stage with their heavy performance. Fans of different music genres were also entertained by many other Thai leading bands; Tattoo Colour, Joey Boy and friends like Sing Nua Sua Tai and DJ Spyda Monkey helped the crowd moving until dawn.

Then the moment everyone was waiting for had arrived and it was worth every minute of the wait. Incubus delivered a powerful and mesmerizing performance and got the crowd on their feet to their beat, performing hit songs like Anna Molly, Drive, Wish you were here, Love Hurts and many more. Brandon Boyd, Incubus’ lead singer, gave their female fans the reason to scream even louder. A full one hour and thirty minutes of pour rocker bliss left their fans calling for an encore.
